This was one series of questions asked by my professor:
"What are your views on adoption by same-sex couples? Do you feel that enacting laws is the best way to support your view? If not, what other ways would you suggest?"
And this was a girls response:
"In my opinion I don’t think it’s appropriate for same sex couple to do adoption. The reason I said that it’s because they’re not straight people so I wonder what kind of education they can give to those kids. Another thing what can they really tell those adopted kids when they start growing up, what can they really say about it. Would that be normal for those kids to know about that situation which means that they were raised by same sex people. Wouldn’t that leave any doubt to them? They may be smart but because of their sexual orientation, they should not be allowed for adoption. In this case, the only way this can stop is by enacting some new laws so they won’t continue to do adoption"
I of course wrote her a very very long response telling her why gays should be able to adopt and attempted to answer every one of her "grammatically correct" questions she asked within her response..
I didn't realize people were still so ignorant and just flat out dumb!!
I'm starting to think it's a bad idea, but I still really really want to do it.
I would start up at UCF next Fall, which is actually the spring and summer semesters off, which is almost a year out of school.
I know I'm not going to get into a "I don't want to finish college" attitude, but a year off is a long time.
I don't know. I need to make up my mind soon though!
Eight months is a long time to save up money though!! :]
I'm glag I haven't worked out in months and summer is about two weeks away..
fast food twice a month. (I'm tired of wasting ALL of my money on food)
workout at least three times a week.
no more soda.
be more organized with my bills.
put more money in my savings.
don't use my credit card as much, GAS ONLY, which was it's original intention.
That's it really, basically lose weight and save money, the cliche new years resolution of everyone. lol
you gotta be kidding me!?!
I filled out my sample ballot tonight, so I know what's up when I get to the polls.
It's so confusing though, thank God for the internet. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't look all of this up.
All of these amendments are so wordy I don't know if voting yes is a good thing or bad thing!
I figured it all out though.
The most important thing is that Obama is being voted for on my ballot!
